Health and Safety Protocols in Place for NACAC Conference 2022

NACAC’s priority is the health and safety of our conference participants. Our goal is to hold a safe event while recognizing it is not possible to remove all risks, particularly concerning COVID-19. NACAC Health and Safety protocols have been set with guidance from the CDC and public health departments, along with federal, state, and local regulations.

COVID-19 Vaccine Verification or Proof of Negative PCR Test
Conference participants must provide proof of vaccination (proof of boosters are not required) or a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arriving at conference. Detailed instructions on submitting your vaccine record or proof of negative COVID-19 test has been sent to all registered conference attendees and can be found below. NACAC has contracted with CLEAR to manage this process through their service, HealthPass.
Masks
NACAC recommends that conference participants wear a well-fitting mask indoors when not eating or drinking. We ask that all participants be respectful of each individual's choice to wear or not wear a mask.

Personal Hygiene
Hand sanitizer stations will be provided near building entrances and in high-traffic areas such as meeting room corridors, lobbies, and escalator/elevator landings. Basic hygiene and health protocol signage will be visible throughout the convention center.

Event Distancing/Crowd Management
NACAC is working with the George R. Brown Convention Center to develop attendee movement plans to minimize congestion for ingress/egress. NACAC is also working with its service partners to ensure rooms are arranged to achieve added physical distance between attendees. However, NACAC will not monitor the spaces and asks that attendees be mindful of their surroundings and take personal responsibility for following all guidelines.

Open and Concealed Carry
As a private licensee holding an event within the George R. Brown Convention Center, NACAC prohibits the open and concealed carrying of handguns in our leased space for the duration of the conference.

Additional Information
The George R. Brown Convention Center has executed an extensive Health and Safety protocol, which includes enhanced cleaning methods and distancing. Find out more.

International Attendees: Health Pass can verify internationally issued vaccines for the following QR code standards: EU Digital Covid Certification (DCC) and UK National Health Service (NHS) Covid Pass. Although use of the CLEAR app is not yet supported in EU and UK territories, international audiences may download and use the CLEAR app once physically located in the U.S. Depending on country origin, some users may also need to modify their app store settings (change country to U.S. or other listed available country) in order to search for CLEAR.

Once users have completed the steps above, they can create a Health Pass using NACAC’s custom org code (“NACAC2022”). If users are still having issues creating their Health Pass, CLEAR’s Member Care team is the quickest option for troubleshooting support*:

·  Tap "Get in Touch" by scrolling to the bottom of the home screen within the CLEAR app. Member Care agents typically respond within a minute

·  Call 855-CLEARME to speak to a live agent, available from 8 am - 8 pm ET, Monday - Friday

2I am getting errors when trying to use the CLEAR App.  What do I do?

CLEAR has recommended that we refer technical issues to their Member Care Team. CLEAR’s Member Care team is the quickest option for troubleshooting support*:

3. I don’t feel comfortable sharing my personal information with CLEAR.  What other options do I have?

4. Do I have to use CLEAR Health Pass to provide me information?

Using the CLEAR app will be the quickest option to gain entry to conference, but we certainly leave the option up the attendee.  In lieu of going through CLEAR Health Pass to upload their information, attendees should plan to bring their vaccine or negative test documents (or clear pictures of them) to the convention center.  NACAC staff will verify onsite.
