As the field of college admission evolves, so does the role of college counseling. Leading a Dynamic College Counseling Program (formerly known as Directing a Dynamic College Counseling Program) is an intensive preconference workshop designed to support secondary school and college counseling professionals, college counseling department directors and supervisors, aspiring directors, and veteran counselors in the acquisition of essential tools, resources, and knowledge pertaining to the field. College counseling professionals, regardless of title, can lead their program and facilitate change from any position. The facilitators of this workshop provide hands-on training, expert panels, as well as resources to support participants in their pursuit of becoming a transformative leader in their college counseling office.

Topics include:

  • Defining and understanding leadership
  • Defining and aligning your mission
  • Assessing your college counseling office and programs
  • Building and managing a college counseling program
  • Admission trends and industry challenges
  • Data analysis and action plans
  • Preventing counselor burnout

The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5242. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NACAC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
