Why Attend?

The NACAC National Conference is a vital time for me to continue to develop as a professional as there is always more to learn and things in admission can change quickly. The opportunity to network with other college counselors and admission representatives is unmatched at any other event throughout the year.

Catherine Souza

Archmere Academy (DE)

As a counselor working in an international school setting, attending the NACAC National Conference allows me to stay on top of current trends and issues that affect my students studying in the United States. Where else can you interact with top educators and thought leaders, either by attending sessions or through casual conversations? I make a point to attend the Special Interest Group lunches and find out what is happening in my regional affiliate at their membership meeting. I usually extend my time to visit local universities or hop on a counselor tour either before or after the conference, often at no cost, which is an added bonus!

Kathleen Schultz

NIST International School (Thailand)

My favorite part of the national conference is connecting with current and former colleagues. I interact almost daily with colleagues both on the secondary school side, collegiate side, consultants and other agents of collegiate access work. Mostly, this work is done virtually or via telephone or e-communication; the NACAC National Conference is the only time of year where I can access all of these partners in education in person.
